VPE = Vote Per Elector
How could less people give George W Bush more electoral votes? It's
simple. Because of the fact that electoral votes are based on number of
Representatives AND Senators, little states get that two vote bonus that's
diluted in big states.
Of course, if you really want your vote to count, you can move to Ohio,
where you have to register at least 30 days before the election and intend
to move there. Ohio, Florida, Virginia, Iowa, Michigan, Arkansas, New
Mexico, and New Hampshire are the tightest races in 2004. So, the state
where the margin of victory is slimmest is where your vote really counts
the most.
Of course, we could abolish
the Electoral College. |
